Hornet Plus Features
We understand the challenges faced by landlords letting out their properties to students. With that in mind, we have created options that put you, the landlord in control. Our flexible service packages include:
- Free Wireless Router: Each property is provided with a free wireless router and firewall. This gives you the option to provide internet services of speeds up to 16 Mbps* as a part of the rental or at the very least distinguish your listing from others as providing a property that is "broadband ready". All the tenant has to do is select and pay for the HornetPLUS broadband speed best suited to their needs.
- Free Telephone Calls: All calls to other HornetPLUS users are free. Soon students will even be able to dial University extension numbers, so they can stay in touch with staff and friends on-campus. To make outbound calls to other standard landlines or mobiles, the tenant just needs charge their individual account with a credit/debit or calling card.
- Free Television: If as a landlord, you do choose to offer HornetPLUS broadband as a part of the rent, your tenants would automatically get up to 25 channels free of cost. They then have the option of upgrading to other pay channels at their own cost.
- Installation and post installation support: Whether you own one property or several, HornetPLUS provides you with various installation options. Once we install the line, you can choose to install the modem on your own or we can do that for you. More and more landlords are choosing to run data cabling to each room to ensure a fast, reliable internet service. HornetPLUS enables you to future-proof your properties by offering a low-cost cabling service with a 25 year guarantee.
- All year line rentals: Students often disconnect lines leaving landlords to pay for the re-installation of BT lines. With Freewire, you, the landlord would own the line rental (£10.50 per month) and only you would have the authority to cancel or disconnect the line. Furthermore, you don't pay full price for the months where the property is not occupied.
